Ch Fantail's Fayre
Polly
Polly was bred by Fantail Kennels
and is owned by Martha Garneau of Fonthill Ontario. Polly is a
beautiful young girl who finished easily and is now resting on
her laurels awaiting motherhood which is planned for the not too
distant future.
Polly, in Martha's words...
"Polly is my extra shadow.
Even though she does like some time to herself you will
usually find her wherever I am. I go outside, she has to come.
I come inside...she needs to be inside. I go to work in my
studio...she has to come and lie down by me. A wonderful
companion for sure !!!
Polly definitely will let you
know when she wants something...whether it be a toy that she
cannot get out of her toy box or that piece of food
that one of us has left on the counter and happens to
be...beyond her reach ! She will pick up a toy and wait
for one of us to chase her around the ottoman and try to get
it from her. She loves playing tug a toy but she can get
very upset when we gather for chit chat and leave her out of
it. I really think that Polly believes that she is one of us (
human that is ). We sit on chairs and couches and she does the
same...we sleep on a nice raised bed...well it doesn't take
long before you find her snuggled right there...for a while
anyway...until we send her off to her own bed ( the crate -
which she has no problem spending the night in.)
Polly loves to be outside chasing
the squirrel's along the fence line or being on point at a
cute little chipmunk. She has patience to a point and then her
entertaining personality comes out ! She once went behind some
bushes to get that elusive chipmunk and came out with a bucket
on her head !!! She is very curious, brave and definitely very
entertaining.
She has a built in clock and knows
exactly when breakfast and dinner time is and if you happen to
be busy she will keep reminding you until her dish gets
filled.
Most of the time Polly is obedient
to what I ask of her even though it might take a few minutes
for her to decide to do so . I think she wants me to think
that it was her idea. She loves going for walks, enjoys
meeting new friends and always has a lookout for a bunny. She
has the most wonderful expressions on her face.
We all love our Polly who gives us
big hugs and it sure is a delight to give those warm hugs back
!!"
